Chiropractic adjustments
A chiropractic adjustment is when the chiropractor realigns the bones either by using their hands or an instrument called an Activator. The Activator gives a precise tap to the joint that needs adjustment and it happens so quickly that the patient doesn't have time to tense their muscles, allowing the adjustment to be more effective.
Neck traction
Neck traction is a type of chiropractic care that allows the chiropractor to help stretch your spine and neck. When the vertebrae are stretched, it increases the space between them and relieves pain that may be caused by a nerve that is being pinched. It also allows any discs that may be herniated or bulging to return to their appropriate location.
TENS therapy
TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) therapy is the use of electrical currents to help to decrease muscle pain and spasms. Electrodes are placed near the area where the pain is and the low levels of currents cause the muscles to contract, which will tire them out and cause them to relax.
Massage therapy
Massage therapy is available through referral from our office to a massage therapist in the same building. It stretches tightened tissues, allowing patients to more easily perform therapeutic exercises and reducing the risk of tight tissues pulling on joints.
